"I'd be honored if you would show me," he tells her, his own face flushing in response to the color on hers. He could listen to her speak for hours, he thinks, and not just because of her accent. She has a way of speaking, like the sound of the water against the shore, that is most soothing.

"Here, I believe it is ages 11 to 14," he says.
